There are so many videos where little boys play with trucks, little girls wear dresses and play with dolls, and sing about mommy and daddy sharks.

Some boys like dolls and wear dresses, some girls like trucks. Some children don’t think of themselves as boys or girls. Many kids are being raised by same sex parents, one parent, a grandparent or in a foster or adopted home. Very few children are being parented by heterosexual shark couples.

OURTOONS would like for every child to see themselves and their family represented in the videos and games that they are exposed to on a daily basis. Not as the friend or a background character. Every child is a main character. The star of their own show!

As gay parents with families of different sizes, ethnicities and religious beliefs, the founders of OURTOONS want to see ourselves and our friends, family and community represented.
