Children need to see themselves and their families all day, everyday, right out front, until they take it for granted.

When I told my son that I was going to be
his mom instead of his dad, I asked if he had
questions. He said, “Can we have pizza?”
Kids learn by seeing and being seen.
My Family is Normal
We stay with friends, in shelters and sometimes in our car, but my daughter knows at least one constant, that we are a “complete family” and that our home is each other.
Jingle All the Time
We have family members who celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, and Kwanzaa. My daughter learned Christmas songs from cartoons. I’d like for her to be just as familiar with all of her holiday songs.
